Hunting for Easter Eggs

When Caden woke up this morning, he couldn't wait to see what the Easter Bunny had left for him.  He enjoyed looking through his Easter basket and hunting for eggs.  After we went to church as a family, we went to Nana and Papa's because Caden heard that the Easter Bunny left him some eggs there also.  As you can see from the photos below, Caden absolutely loved hunting for Easter eggs.  This two-year-old has enough candy to last him until next Easter!

Monster Eggs

Since Caden LoVeS crafts, he was extremely excited to dye his Easter eggs.  This year, he made "monster eggs." (I'm not really sure what monsters have to do with Easter, but try explaining that to a two-year-old. . .)

The photos on the bottom left are the "silly faces" he made while he was waiting to turn his eggs.  He is such a ham. . .every time he heard the shutter click, he would make another face.

Tomorrow, we will spend the day hunting for eggs, going to church, and eating Easter dinner with our family.  Happy Easter--He is Risen!

From the Mouth of a Two-Year-Old

Caden says. . .

"It's so nice to meet you." "I'm so glad to see you." "You crack me up!" "It's a beautiful day, isn't it?" "Holy Moly!" "What the heck?!" "Oh my gosh!" "It's not fair!" "Daddy doesn't listen to me!" "It's too expensive.  You can't buy it!" "Leave the door open.  I'm scared of spiders." "I'm going to turn off the light.  You're wasting energy!" "Night sweetie." "That girl is a genius!" "This one (paintbrush) is pitiful." "I'll get one (a cookie).  You don't worry about it.  You just sit right there!" "I'm too nervous!" "I tickled Unca's feet and he screamed like a girl!" "It's not a boy.  It's a girl!" "I don't want fire in my underwear.  That would really hurt!"

and my favorite. . .

"I love you to the moon and back!"

Frogs and Snails and Puppy-Dogs' Tails

In August, we are going to be welcoming another little boy into our family.  He is healthy and is growing perfectly.  We can't wait to meet him! (We are still deciding on his name.)

Half Way There! (20 Weeks Preggos)

Baby Work #2 is growing! I am now five months preggos.  It's difficult to believe that in four short months we will have a new little one to love.  I am still feeling pretty good.  Heartburn is my most miserable pregnancy symptom again as it was with Caden.  This time, it started at seven weeks! We find out next week whether Caden is going to have a little brother or a little sister.  With Caden, I really wanted a girl.  I would still love a girl, but after seeing how my brothers have become best friends, I would love for Caden to have a brother. . .even though he says he wants a baby sister (I think he just likes girls!).

"I'm good at crafts!"

Last week, Caden picked out a Jar of Crap Crafts from Michaels.  He absolutely loves cutting and gluing and has been busy making collages for everyone he loves.  While he was busy cutting and gluing, he told me, "I'm good at crafts!" (Thus far, I'm not worried about his self-esteem!)

Work Family Outing: A.C. Gilbert's Discovery Village

This is the first weekend I have had off in a month, so I have not had any extra time to update our family blog.  Over Spring Break, I had two days off and we spent one of those days visiting A.C. Gilbert's Discovery Village, a children's museum in Salem.  Caden is the perfect age to take new places; he loves getting out of the house and trying new things.

Here are a few photos from our fun day:

Caden loved the museum!

Jenny, Matt, and Juliet met us at the museum which made our day even more fun!
